At Serenity Occupational Therapy, we are proud to recognise and support 24/7 Samaritans Awareness Day on 24 July 2025 – a powerful reminder that help is always available, day or night.

This annual campaign, led by Samaritans, raises awareness of the invaluable 24/7 emotional support they provide to anyone struggling to cope, feeling overwhelmed, or experiencing mental health challenges. It’s also a time to highlight the importance of talking, listening, and checking in with one another – something we strongly advocate for as part of our person-centred mental health support.

Mental health doesn’t stick to office hours. That’s why services like Samaritans play such a vital role in offering confidential, non-judgmental support around the clock. Whether you’re going through a difficult time yourself or worried about someone else, simply having someone to talk to can make all the difference.

How You Can Take Part:

  • Share the Samaritans message on social media to help break the stigma around mental health.

  • Check in with friends, family, or colleagues – a simple “How are you really doing?” can open the door to vital conversations.

  • Reach out for support if you need it – there’s no shame in asking for help.

As occupational therapists, we understand the value of emotional well-being and connection in everyday life. Together, we can create a more compassionate community where everyone feels heard and supported.

📞 If you or someone you know needs support, you can call Samaritans free on 116 123 or visit their website at www.samaritans.org.

Let’s spread the message that help is always available —

24 hours a day, 7 days a week 💚
