Our specialist occupational therapists work alongside employers, HR professionals, occupational health providers, case managers and insurers to provide practical, evidence-based solutions that help people remain in work or return to work successfully.
We also accept referrals from case managers, insurers, solicitors and rehabilitation providers who require specialist occupational therapy assessment, intervention or vocational rehabilitation as part of a wider rehabilitation plan.

Remote assessments are available UK-wide. Face-to-face workplace and employee assessments are available in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, with wider travel considered by arrangement.

Case Management Referrals
For case managers, insurers, solicitors and rehabilitation providers requiring specialist Occupational Therapy as part of a wider rehabilitation plan.
We can provide functional Occupational Therapy assessment, assessment and intervention, vocational rehabilitation, case liaison and clear reporting to support rehabilitation planning.
Our Occupational Therapy approach focuses on function rather than diagnosis alone. For workplace referrals, we consider the employee's functional ability in relation to the actual demands of their role. For wider rehabilitation referrals, we assess how health, cognition, mental health, neurodivergence and environmental factors affect everyday occupational performance and participation.
Our findings are translated into clear, practical recommendations for employers, case managers and other professionals involved in the person's support.
What Happens When You Refer?
Step 1 - Referral
The employer, HR professional, Occupational Health provider, case manager, insurer or other referring professional provides the referral question and relevant background information.
Step 2 - Consent and Information Gathering
The employee is informed about the purpose of the assessment and appropriate consent is obtained.
Step 3 - Occupational Therapy Assessment
We assess the employee's functional abilities in relation to their work demands.
Step 4 - Report and Recommendations
A clear report responds to the referral questions and provides practical recommendations.
Step 5 - Review or Intervention where required
Further occupational therapy support can be arranged when assessment alone is unlikely to be sufficient.

For organisations requiring Occupational Therapy input across multiple employee or rehabilitation cases, we can discuss a regular referral arrangement, agreed communication processes and access to our assessment, intervention, workplace and vocational rehabilitation services.
